Boy, Man, and Girl in Rain Story.

     Fifth semester on the first day, I met Boy. He’s my senior and I was enchanted to meet him on the first day of my day at college. He was the first one I met. Well, I don’t have class anymore and he got one class on 3 pm. I told him that I wanted to walk around at mall, he agreed and accompanied me. I can’t imagine how does mall looked like at 10 am. It was so quite, feels like the mall is ours. Haha. We walked to the highest floor then walked to underground. Suddenly I said, “I’m hungry.” He told me a restaurant to eat. Lol. I was so cruel let him paid the bill by the last money in his wallet! But I paid him back cuz I ate the food, not him. Lol. Our togetherness was lasting for 2 hours cuz I have to go pick my mom. I have no idea cuz we were silent on the way out of the mall. Suddenly he said,

“Which direction do you go?”

I replied, “Left.”

“Okay, I’ma go this way.”

“Lift me to the shelter please.”

“Okay. Lets go.”

     I was surprised. I didn’t mean it, but those words jumped out of my mouth! Oh my God. What I’ve done? On the way to the shelter, I saw his back. I just think, “Boy in black.” Hahahaha. Suddenly he said,

“Just here, you climb the stairs by your self. If you drop, get up by your self.”

“Lol. Fine. Thanks a lot.”

I climbed the stairs and looked at his back again. He walked away without looking back.

     Day by day, we get closer. When there’s leisure between mid exam, we went out together. We visited haunted house. Lol, I have no idea why do I ask him and agree with it. Damn he loved horror so much and I was scared! Hahaha. He asked me to watch horror movie. Lol, carelessly, I rejected it cuz I was so scared! >.< In that day, we spent the daylight by moving between 2 malls and the distance was end to the other. When we’re walking his mom called and told him to get to a mall near the first mall we visit. Lol. “We’re gonna moving back then. Lol. Do we move here too fast or what?” I said. He said, “Yeah. My whole family was there. I have no idea.” I didn’t see his smile anymore after the phone call. On the way back, we just sit next to other without talking any word. Arrived to the shelter, we moved out and waited another bus cuz I have to do transit. He accompanied me and he talked about his cousin’s wedding. I saw his smile again but I know he did that cuz he got nothing to do after I left him by taking the bus. We laughed for a moment and the bus came, so we splited. On the way home, I felt we won’t meet anymore. I don’t know why the feeling felt so bad like this.

     Alright, we’re still in mid exam week. I tried to contact him directly after the last exam. I saw his face has no emotions at all, just plain. So, I accompanied him play pump. I just sat and stared at him. He was adorable, he was so different. He got his friends so I don’t think that I need to stay any longer right there. I left him and took step home. When I reached the main gate, it was raining outside, I can’t go home. Oh damn. What should I do? At least, I went back where he was. He said,

“It’s raining, huh?”

“Where did you know?”

“Of course I know. I’m fortune teller.”

I was silent and thinking where he knew it was raining. Ta da! I got it. I remembered one of his friend went home and he went back before me. Boy knew it was raining from him. Damn I thought, he was really looked after me. My wrist watch showed 07.00 p.m. He and his friends were gonna walk away from the game station to restaurant. He asked,

“Do you want to join us for dinner?”

“No, I don’t. I have to go now.”

I took steps away to escalator and he followed me. The group is moving away. One of his friend asked,

“You don’t want to join us?”

“I’ll be there after lift her first. Just wait me there.”

“Lol.. Where are you gonna lift her? To a wedding, huh?”

I don’t care about what his friend said, I feel empty of this. This might be out last moment, we won’t meet anymore after tonight. To clear up the situation, I opened my mouth,

“You looked cool!”

“From where? I didn’t.”

His words so cold like a huge icebox, his plain face wanted me leave as soon as I can. We didn’t talk until we get out through main gate. We stopped and stared the night sky was crying. I took my umbrella and he looked his umbrella in his bag.

“Aw. I didn’t bring it along today,” he said while keep searching in his bag.

“It’s okay. I’ll go by my self from here.” I replied and stared at him.

I walked away few steps and turned back, I found his back again. Actually I wanted to say thank you, but he showed me his back. I can’t let him shower in the pouring rain after I took in public transportation. So I’ll get through the cold dark night with pouring rain by my self and be home safe even though I scream out loud in my mind that “I’m scared.” None listened it, I’m just all alone. I won’t forget this, not because I’m mad, but because I’m a fool.

     One month later after the cold dark night, I met my old friend, called him Man. I knew him 5 years ago, but lost contact for 4 years. Lol. So creepy. I might called him senior too cuz he graduate by the same university but different course. Haha. After long chat, we decided to meet on Tuesday after we finished with our activities. I finished my activity on 5 p.m. and I texted him whether he’s on the way or what cuz I found the weather so unfriendly. Text sent, the dark cloud showed lighting and rain. I stopped in bank, opened my bag and pulled my umbrella. Then I walked to the famous building of my university. I checked my phone and there’s still no message. I worried he’s already arrived on meeting point. So, I called him twice and he picked up.

“Halo?”

“Where are you?? Why didn’t you reply my text?”

“I am in office. I didn’t hear my phone rang. Be patient, it’s still raining outside. Where are you?”

“Thank, God. I thought you arrived already. I’m in blue building now. Do we have to switch the meeting point?”

“Lol.. It’s up to you?”

“Ok. I’m confused now..”

“Ok. Just keep in touch. Just wait the rain stop.”

     I hang up the phone and sit on the stair. I opened my bag and took a thick blue novel titled “Dog Stories”. I opened page by page and read words by words. Suddenly there’s a girl surprised me. She was a student of junior high school (I think).

“Excuse me, sister. Can you help me?” She asked gentlely.

“What can I do?” I replied with soft smile.

“Please take my picture right there. I really need it for my paper.” She pointed one spot near the symbol of my university and gave me her phone.

“Oh there. Alright.”

     After took her picture, I gave her phone. She stared her picture and thankful. I just smiled and turned back to my novel and she followed me. She said,

“Thank you, sister!” She gratitude me with energizing smile.

“No problem.” I replied her smile while sitting on the stair.

     The rain kept falling down to earth, I felt cold and hungry. My wrist watch showed 6.30 p.m., so I took steps to bakery, but I found nothing to eat. Huhu. Then I walked to outside and found the rain stopped. I think I will have to change the meeting point cuz I’m sure I can’t reach the first meeting point instantly. Yeah, there’s bad traffic out there, so I texted Man I’ll go to the nearest mall. He called me to ask where were we gonna meet. After hang up the call, I walked to the skybridge (lol I really like the mention) to reach the mall. At the mall, I run to toilet to clean up my feet and repaired my hair. Lol.. funny. I don’t feel the way I feel when I’m with Boy. I feel hilarious to meet my old friend for the first time. Hahaha. I feel he’s warm as sunlight. I can’t imagine how’s he looks like, I won’t care about it though. I’m just trying to break the strict rule with my friend. J

     He called me by phone and ask me to meet him at book store. I walked in the book store look for him. I thought he wasn’t there yet so I walked to book shelf on front corner and pick a book randomly. I read the book for around 30 minutes and I also wait him. Cuz he was so long, I called him again.

“Where are you?”

“I’m in the book store.”

“Me too, lol!”

“Come to magazine shelf now.”

“Lol! I’m reading a book right now. Wait.”

     I hang up the phone and finished the last paragraph then I took steps to magazine shelf. Afraid? No. Nervous? Yes. Lol. I found a man stood in front of magazine shelf, he’s alone and I’m sure it’s him. So, we were waiting for each other around 30 minutes? Oh my!! XD Hahaha.. I walked closer to him. He stared at me and continued read the magazine. Lol. -.- Man!!!

     After few minutes we walked out and looking after food. After order the food, we needed to wait 45 minutes. Lol. -.- Fine. I’m tired and just walked around with Man. He made me laugh. He's my sunshine after the rain. He likes a brother for me. Thank God, I met him today. I feel lucky that my cold experience with Boy melted by our togetherness. It’s just more than I need. We lost contact 4 years ago and now we meet in this situation. He likes a ghost, but he’s the only ghost I missed.
